Hi Folks,

Just wonder anyone of you know how to convert a DVD in NTSC format into Pal and Secam format? We have an American client who needs to send his dvd to UK and France.

Hey there,

I have the same question but didn't see any answers - Working on a project that will need to convert a DVD in NTSC format into Pal format (And maintain original menu's if possible)- Need to use final version in the UK.

Any info. would be much appreciated -

If you are not that picky about the video quality and menu, you can try a simple way using NERO.

Hi,

We need to convert our product video from NTSC to PAL for our China distributor. There won't be any menus. I tried the NERO approach but the PAL video quality is obviously lower than the original NTSC. Is there a better way to do the conversion?

Thanks!

Hi Angela,

You can try TMpeg which is a much better video convertor. It's easy to use with many great features. Just Google "tmpeg" and google will lead you to their website.

We had to distribute our DVD in PAL and NTSC formats too. We used New Cyberian for our DVD-10 replication and it came out to be super. Both the quality and the price are great. You are dealing with nice people too.

I have several DVDs that have been recorded in PAL format and while I can watch them on my computer, Id really rather convert them and watch them in NTSC on my regular DVD player.

Is there a way to get the PAL VOBs converted back into MPGs so that I can create my own NTSC DVD?

jasona wrote: Yes, 720x480 is NTSC. If you watch it on a Mac with DVD Player, you can do a Get Info while the disc is playing and it will tell you. Media Info is good too.

I used WMP to get that info. Thanks

I know its not actually possible to watch NTSC DVDs on a PAL PS3 and vice versa but I have heard there are methods which enable you to do so. Has anyone tried these methods and, if so, do you recommend?
